Charlie R. Kirven, a HBCU graduate grew-up in Ennis, Texas; a small town located about 35 miles south of Dallas. There he learned old-fashion values such as belief in God, hard work, responsibility, trustworthiness, and commitment. He has been married for 48-years, and has two children. The oldest is his son, a graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in finance, and is a mortgage company branch manager. His daughter is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University, received a Masters from the University of Houston, and is a CPA.
Charlie is a graduate of Texas Southern University and passed the Certified Public Accountancy exam in 1976. Before he founded Money & Investment Concepts (MIC), he had a very successful rapid rising 11-year career in corporate America. He was an Assistant Group Controller for a Fortune 500 company responsible for business and strategic planning for four (4) divisions with operations in the US, Canada, and overseas. He was also responsible for the financial valuation of international merger & acquisition candidates. Charlie was consistently ranked as one of the Group’s top performing employees.
While Charlie enjoyed his corporate career, and the compensation was outstanding it did not serve his yearning to do more with his life. In 1984 he took his small-town values and corporate experience and founded Money & Investment Concepts, to help people make the most of their money. While serving clients at MIC, he has earned countless awards, some of which include: Masters Forum from Allianz, Circle of Excellence from Ohio State Life, Jackson Stars from Jackson National, Pair Qualifier from OM Financial, Executive Council from Oppenheimer Funds, Eagle for International Financial Services, and the list goes on. He instilled his small-town values and commitment to excellence in MIC’s staff to ensure that clients receive the best service MIC is capable of providing.
